🛒 Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- ½ head green cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1 medium carrot, julienned
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp honey or brown sugar
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes, optional
- Sesame seeds for garnish, optional
👩🍳 Instructions
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 5–6 minutes, breaking it apart until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.
Add the garlic, ginger, and white parts of the green onions. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the cabbage and carrots. Stir-fry for 4–6 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
Mix the soy sauce, rice vinegar, oyster sauce, honey, sesame oil, and black pepper in a small bowl.
Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir well and cook for another 2–3 minutes, allowing everything to become evenly coated with the savory sauce.
Top with the remaining green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot, either on its own or with steamed rice.
For the best texture, avoid overcooking the cabbage. It should be tender but still have a slight crunch when the stir-fry is ready.
